The trailer of R Madhavan’s ambitious project Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has been released today. Besides starring in the titular role, Madhavan is also making his directorial debut with the film. The film is based the life of Nambi Narayanan, a former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation who was caught in a spy scandal. Madhavan has also written and produced the film.
The close to three minutes trailer starts with Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo interviewing Madhavan’s character of Nambi. The trailer gives us glimpses of the difficult journey the scientist Nambi went through in real life when he was accused of espionage and had to prove himself innocent in the eyes of the law and the nation.

Madhavan transforms completely into Nambi for the biopic with his looks. The film also stars Simran Bagga, Suriya and Ravi Raghavendra in pivotal roles. Rocketry: The Nambi Effect will be simultaneously released in six languages, Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam. The film is presented by Tricolour Films and Varghese Moolan Pictures. It will release in the summer 0f 2021.
