Kangana Ranaut's first trilingual film, Thalaivi, is all set to release in a month's time. South director Vijay has helmed the film and the trailer was launched in Chennai and Mumbai on Tuesday. The launch was indeed special as Kangana celebrated her 34th birthday as well as received her 4th National Award. After attending the event in Chennai, Kangana and the team of Thalaivi met the media in Mumbai.
During the interaction, Kangana lavished praise on the South industry and said though nepotism may exist, they don't bully or harass actors. "In the South industry, there may be nepotism but there is no bullying, targeting, harassment of outsiders. In fact, you don't feel like an outsider. They own you, involve you and are very inclusive of you. The way they respect you as a woman and the way they interact with you is absolutely overwhelming," Kangana told.
Thalaivi is produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh and co-produced by Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy. It is written by KV Vijayendra Prasad and will release in theatres on April 23, 2021, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The film also stars Arvind Swami, Bhagyashree, Prakash Raj, Jisshu Sengupta and Madhoo.
