Taapsee Pannu’s I-T raids become the talk of the town, especially when many said that it was a vendetta against the actress and Anurag Kashyap as they often speak against the establishment. However, Taapsee broke her silence and spoke about the I-T raids in an interview with a news channel. Speaking about the matter, she said that she has done nothing wrong and truth will come out. Taapsee said, “I can’t hide anything.”
The actress also added that she appreciated Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s tweet on the raids saying that it was just procedure. She also re-iterated that she answered all the questions put up by the Income Tax officials and co-operated with them completely. Here are the highlights of Taapsee’s interview with the channel:

- I answered all the questions asked by the Income tax officers.
- My family and I co-operated with the IT department.
- IT raids can be intimidating at the start.
- There is no way to confirm why I was raided.
- When IT raids happen, there is no option but to follow procedure.
- If there anything wrong it will come out, I can't hide anything.
- If I have done something wrong, I will serve the punishment.
- Media joined the dots and said Rs 5 crore receipts were mine. IT department did not say that Rs 5 crore receipts were found at Taapsee's house. I was wondering who is giving me Rs 5 crore. There were stories of me having a bungalow in Paris.
- On Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's tweet, Taapsee Pannu said that it was nice of her to say that it's a procedure not to sensationalize it.
The raids were also conducted at Vikas Bahl’s, Madhu Mantena’s and Vikramaditya Motwane’s properties as well as offices of Phantom Films that the trio headed along with Kashyap. The IT officials had released a statement that discrepancies to the effect of Rs 300-350 crores were found in the raids.
