Kangana Ranaut is currently in Bhopal to begin the shoot of her upcoming action-thriller Dhakaad. Directed by Razneesh Ghai, the film also stars Arjun Rampal among others. The action-thriller will see Kangana play the role of an officer and will revolve around child trafficking and exploitation of women. During her stay in Bhopal for the shoot, Kangana met Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The team of Dhaakad joined her.

Recently, Madhya Pradesh's Freedom of Religion Bill 2020 or 'anti-Love Jihad' law came into effect. Reacting to the same, Kangana told reporters, "Many people may have problems with this law, but people should understand that laws are made only for those who have been cheated. This law will not apply to the inter-caste marriages that usually happen. It is applicable only to those who have cheated the other person in the name of religion or caste. This law will help those who get cheated in such cases."
According to the ordinance, the person who forcefully converts another person by intimidation, harassment, marriage or any other fraudulent means shall be punishable with imprisonment up to 5 years and a fine not less than Rs 25,000. On the other hand, if a crime is committed with a minor/or a woman from Scheduled Tribe there is a provision for imprisonment up to 10 years and a fine of Rs 50,000. Under the ordinance, those who collectively convert against the law will face imprisonment of not less than 10 years a fine of 1 lakh rupees. From now, the Religious Freedom Act of 1968 has been declared void. But, children born from such marriages will be valid and will get the rights in their father's property. Even after the marriage is declared void, child and the mother will receive maintenance from the father of the child.
