Acclaimed actor Irrfan passed away on April 29, 2020, leaving a deep void in the hearts of his countless fans as well as the film fraternity. The last time we saw him on our screens was in Homi Adajania’s Angrezi Medium. However, that is not going to b his last work as his fans are yet to see his ultimate film The Song of Scorpions that will release in early 2021. The Song of Scorpions also star Golshifteh Farahani and is directed by Anup Singh.
In lieu of the actor’s demise, his wife Sutapa Sikdar and son Babil Khan are promoting his last film The Song of Scorpions. They shared a small teaser and poster of the film on their social media. Sutapa shared a poster and captioned, “A journey from the finite to the infinite. #thesongofscorpions #neverthelasttime.”
On the other hand, Babil shared a teaser and captioned it, “One more time, perhaps not the last. #thesongofscorpions.”
The official synopsis of the film reads, “The Song of Scorpions is a story of twisted love, revenge and the redemptive power of a song. Nooran, carefree and defiantly independent, is a tribal woman learning the ancient art of healing from her grandmother, a revered scorpion-singer. When Aadam, a camel trader in the Rajasthan desert, hears her sing, he falls desperately in love. But even before they can get to know each other better, Nooran is poisoned by a treachery that sets her on a perilous journey to avenge herself and find her song.”
