Abhay Deol to share the screen space with nephew Karan Deol for the first time in Ajay Devgn-backed Velley?

Bollywood isn't clearly done with remakes. While the trend continues to fascinate filmmakers and producers, avid cinema watchers are excited to be a part of this new wave. Blurring the language barrier, multiple South films are being remade in Hindi including Bhaagamathie and Kanchana. Now, a leading daily's report has it that Ajay Devgn has bought the rights of the Telugu crime comedy Brochevarevarura. Reportedly, the Hindi version is titled Velley and will be directed by Deven Munjal.

A source close to Velley told the daily that Ajay loved the concept of Brochevarevarura after which he acquired the rights. The script is reportedly being written currently. "Velley is the official adaptation of Telugu crime comedy, Brochevarevarura. Ajay loved the concept and instantly bought the rights for it, so he could take it to a pan-India audience. The script is currently being written," the source told.

The source further added that Ajay is in talks with Sunny Deol's son Karan Deol and Abhay Deol. Abhay is Karan's uncle. If things materialise, it will be their first film together. "Abhay is known for high concept films and Brocheverevarura is one of the most unique ideas in recent times. Karan is excited to team up with his uncle for the first time. If they come on board, there will be multiple script reading sessions and workshops before the film goes on the floors," the source added.

Karan made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with his father Sunny's directorial titled Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. He has signed Apne 2 in which he will share the screen space with his father, uncle Bobby Deol and grandfather Dharmendra. Abhay was last seen in the web series titled JL50.
