Model-turned-actress Malvi Malhotra was stabbed in the stomach by producer Yogesh Kumar on October 26. Malvi, who has acted in TV serial Udaan and the film Hotel Milan, had filed a police complaint at Versova Police Station. Later, Yogesh was traced by the Versova Police and is in the jail right now. However, Malvi has now revealed that she has been getting death threats ever since.
Malvi said, “On November 18, I went for a walk with my parents in my building compound around 9 pm, when a man wearing a mask came on his bike towards me. He shouted at my father and said, ‘Yogesh will get bail soon. We will show you what can happen to you after that.’ I have been having sleepless nights after that incident, and I plan to move to another home soon.”
Talking about her recovery, Malvi said, “I haven’t even healed properly. The only time I go out is when I have to go for my regular medical check-up. My doctor has advised me to walk a bit in the evenings, so that my lower body, which had become immobile due to the stabbing incident, gets some exercise. I hope strict action is taken against this man.”
Malvi has earlier vowed to learn self-defense post her recovery. “Fear toh hai. Aagey bohot precautions lekar chalna hai. Par main apni zindagi darr ke nahi jee sakti. I have to be brave. My dad has told me to learn self-defense so that I am better prepared to face any untoward incident and take care of myself. I want to be physically strong so that I am able to fight if anything unfortunate happens. I pity the person who did this to me. It shows his criminal mind.”
