After much speculation, Kiara Advani’s comedy-drama Indoo Ki Jawani to not go for a direct-to-digital release but will hit theatres on December 11, 2020. Due to coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdown several films had resorted to an OTT release but now that things have started coming back to normal gradually, filmmakers are once again ready to release their films in theatres.
Film critic and movie trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced today on Twitter about the film’s release date, he tweeted, “."#BreakingNews... Indoo Ki Jawani also stars Aditya Seal and Mallika Dua. It is directed by Abir Sengupta and produced by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani, Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen. The film is a story of a feisty Ghaziabad girl who gets sucked into hilarious chaos when she enters the world of online dating.
Meanwhile, theatres have reopened but are allowed to run only at 50 % capacity.
