Fulfilling his promise, Salman Khan helps rebuild 70 homes in flood-affected Khidrapur village in Maharashtra

Salman Khan, in the month of February this year, informed fans that he has collaborated with the Gurugram-based organisation named Elan Foundation for adopting the Khidrapur village in Maharashtra. The village situated in Kolhapur district was affected by floods last year. The Bollywood actor joined hands with Akash Kapoor and Ravi Kapoor of the Elan Foundation for rebuilding the home of those affected by the natural calamity. Keeping up his promise, Salman extended his help and the constructed work started a few days ago.

Rajendra Patil Yadravkar, a cabinet minister in the Maharashtra government, on August 25, tweeted that the work on 70 affected houses has begun. Mentioning Salman's name, he shared pictures of the bhumi pujan ceremony.

Reportedly, the Maharashtra state government has given Rs. 95,000 for the construction of each of the houses while the rest of the expenses will be borne by Salman and Elan Foundation. It is said that those whose homes were destroyed will be getting a residence measuring 250 square feet each.

Workwise, Salman is yet to resume work on Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. The film is delayed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. It was scheduled to release on May 22. Apart from this, he has Kick 2 and Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali in the pipeline. He is also gearing up for the 14th season of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss.
