The daily reached out to Tanuj who had been stationed at his farmhouse in Lonavala during the lockdown. He spoke about how he gave access to the firefighters of his house through which they could reach the main place where fire broke out. He said, “There were around 10 people stuck in a penthouse in the A Wing. So the firefighters broke into my house. They broke the main door and a few glasses of my house to access the other apartment. Initially the fire engine that came could only reach out to 8th floor, it was only later that another engine was called. Thankfully everyone was rescued and there were no casualties.”

He also spoke about his mother being put up in Poland. He said, “Well actually she is staying with my masi (aunt). They have opened up their five restaurants there while one is Indian, one is Bollywood themed, there is also one each Chinese, Thai and Japanese restaurants too. So she flew there in March, right before the lockdown and was supposed to be back by June. However, she has a dog with her and she is not getting permission for her pet to travel.”
