Veteran Hindustani classical music singer Pandit Jasraj passed away in New Jersey (US) on Monday, August 17, 2020. Today his body was flown in from the US for final rites in India.
His son Shaarang Dev and daughter Durga Jasraj along with grandchildren Swar Sharma, Avni jasraj Mehra, Rishabh Dev Pandit and Eshwari Pandit received his mortal remains.
The late singer’s media spokesperson Pritam Sharma said, “Pandit Jasraj’s funeral will be held on August 20 at 4 pm at Pawan Hans Hindu Shamshan Bhumi, Vile Parle (W) with full state honours.” Pandit Jasraj was 90 years when he passed away. Pandit Jasraj was 90 years when he passed away. He was also a Padma Vibhushan awardee.
