On July 12, Anupam Kher informed that his mother Dulari Kher, brother Raju Kher and his family including wife Reema and daughter Vrinda were found 'mildly' positive for the novel Coronavirus. The actor, whose report was negative, shared a video addressing the same. He told that his nephew Pranit Kher went for the test and he was found negative too. Recently, he gave an update on his mother's health and wrote, "Mom is better than before. So are Raju, Reema and Vrinda. God is kind"
Now, there's good news for the Khers and all their fans as Anupam's family has been discharged from the hospital after recovering from COVID-19, and will remain in home-isolation now. Announcing the news with a video message on Twitter, Anupam thanked the staff of Kokilaben Hospital for their dedication towards helping patients, even as they put themselves at risk. He also shared a small prayer for those who have contracted the novel coronavirus and are either getting treatment in a hospital or are in home-quarantine. He wished for their speedy recovery and strength to their loved ones who are taking care of them.

Soon after, Twinkle Khanna reacted to Anupam's video and wrote, "Glad to hear that our fabulous Dulari is doing well (sic)."

Apart from Anupam's family, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan had tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
