The superstar plays the role of a person who is possessed by a transgender ghost. He will be seen wearing a saree too. Speaking of it, he said a saree is the most graceful garment that suits all body types. "It is the most graceful outfit in the world. The amazing part is that it fits all sizes. We see so many women who wear sarees on a daily basis and catch the train, the bus, work at home etc but majaal hai unka pallu idhar ka udhar ho jaaye. Saree sambhalna mushkil kaam hai. Shoot se pehle, kai baar meri saree utar jaati thi. Chalna bhi mushkil hota tha. But mere stylist sambhal lete the. Hats off to how women manage it," he said.

In response to this, Ajay Devgn, who was present during the event to unveil Bhuj: The Pride Of India's poster, quipped, "I can't say he's looking hot...I think he is looking very very graceful, I know about the script, it's a fabulous script, fabulous role to do and he's carried off the saree look very well"

Akshay further spoke about films getting an OTT release in the time of the pandemic. He said films rightfully belong to theatres but the safety of the audience is of utmost priority. "Films theatres ka birthright hai. But safety bahut zaruri hai. And if fans can watch a film at home on OTT, then I am equally happy," he said.
