TikTok influencer Faizal Siddiqui's video has been taken down from the platform for 'glorifying' acid attack on women. The decision came after National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma wrote to the DGP of Maharashtra Subodh Kumar Jaiswal, demanding an action against the video. She had condemned it by calling out the digital content creator for "promoting the grievous crime of acid attack on social media".
For the unversed, the video featured Faizal, a member of team nawab and the brother of Amir Siddiqui, hrowing water on a girl-- which is hinted to be acid after threatening her for leaving him for another guy. Next up, the girl's face is shown in heavy red makeup, suggesting burns.

Soon BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga highlighted the TikTok video by tagging NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma. She then took up the matter immediately with the police, as well as TikTok India.
Faizal, on the other hand, has over 13.4 million followers.
