Following up on our exclusive story, Freddy Daruwala's bungalow has been sealed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) after the actor's father tested COVID-19 positive. The actor, best known for playing the arch villain in the 2014 Akshay Kumar-starrer Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, confirmed that his father had initially revealed symptoms of seasonal flue, like fever and body ache. Freddy's father is 67, and has been kept in home isolation.
Now in an interaction with a leading daily, Freddy revealed how he's dealing with his father's diagnosis and said, "Initially, when the test results had not come and we were in limbo, it was absolutely an emotionally draining situation for me... I’m the middle man between my family and my dad during these days. I have to make sure my dad gets every necessary thing and at the same time, I also have to keep myself enough sanitized and sane where I can be safe for other family members and don’t become a carrier myself."
When prodded about the precautions being taken by the family, he said, "We’re making sure that he is isolated and using only one room and one dedicated toilet to himself. His clothes, bed sheets and other used things are sanitized, washed and kept with utmost care. The rest of the family members are keeping a safe distance from him."
The actor had earlier said home isolation is not a problem because there are many rooms in the bungalow. However, he is concerned about his 15-month son Evaan. "Evaan is confined to one room with his mom and spends most of the time in one room. In the evening, we take him to our garden," he signed off by saying.
