Bollywood witnessed two of the blackest days in its history last week. The nation soaked into grief and mourning with Irrfan breathing his last at the age of 54 and Rishi Kapoor at 67 on April 29 and 30 due to cancer. Shocked and numbed, condolences poured out on social media in huge numbers. Joining the nation is paying a tribute to the legendary actors, Meenakshi Sheshadri released a video message to express grief.
The actress who took a sabbatical from films many years ago, recalled her experience of working with late Rishi in their superhit project Damini. Meenakshi went on to say that the veteran actor was a great co-star and brought out the best in her on the screen. "It’s with a very heavy heart that I am talking to you today in memory of two fantastic actors the Bollywood industry – Rishi Kapoor and Irrfan Khan. We have lost both these great personalities just the last few days. It is a tremendous loss not just for the audiences and fans, but for the film industry itself. We have lost such talented artists and such wonderful human beings. I have been fortunate to work with Shri Rishi Kapoor, in five films, especially the most famous – Damini. It was a wonderful experience working with him. He was a very considerate co-star, a great co-star brought the best in me. I will remember you Rishi ji always," Meenakshi said in the video.

Meenakshi and Rishi worked in films like Vijay, Sadhna, Bade Ghar Ki Beti and Gharana apart from the famous Damini.
The Bobby actor reunited with his co-star Meenakshi in 2015 when she paid him a visit. Unable to recognise a middle-aged Meenakshi who had trimmed her hair short, Rishi had shared the picture on his Twitter account. "Any guesses who this is? I didn't recognise her for a moment. What a lovely surprise. Name in 30 mins no hints," he wrote as the caption.
