AskSRK: Not Christopher Nolan or Martin Scorsese, Shah Rukh Khan picks Rajkumar Hirani as director for his next film

Ever since Shah Rukh Khan faced failure at the box office with Aanand L Rai’s Zero, the actor has not announced any forthcoming film. He has been on a sabbatical ever since and fans, as well as the industry, is waiting for him with bated breath to announce his next project. Several speculations came out about his next film but we at PeepingMoon.com were the first ones to reveal that SRK is planning to work with Rajkumar Hirani in his next film. Now, in an AskMe session on Twitter Shah Rukh himself hinted at his collaboration with Hirani.

His AskSRK session was very illuminating today as Shah Rukh revealed that he is reading a lot of scripts and is planning to announce his next film soon. One user asked him which director he would like to work with, out of Martin Scorsese and Christopher Nolan. To this, Shah Rukh said, “Wow both are awesome and I have met them...but Raju apna sa lagta hai...nahi (but Raju feels like one of our own...no)?” making an allusion to Rajkumar Hirani, who is rumoured to be directing his next.

Another Twitter user asked him to sign a film or two. The actor wittingly replied that even if he did sign his next, the lockdown would not allow anyone to shoot. “Abe sign to kar doon...abhi shooting kaun karega (Even if I sign...who will shoot now?)!!” he wrote.

Another fan who was tired of hearing rumours and guessing SRK’s next was smartly told, “Don’t tire yourself. It’s obvious I will do some films...it’s obvious they will be made..and it’s obvious you all will know.”
