The world is currently fighting against deadly Coronavirus. The novel COVID-19 that has claimed the lives of lacs all over the globe till now, is continuing to spread its wrath. In the wake of this, people are advised to stay home to curb the impact and flatten the curve. However, while some are privileged with luxurious facilities at home, residents of refugee camps all over the world are at the receiving end. Talking about the harsh conditions and the devastating impact on those residents, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, during Global Citizen's and World Health Organization's virtual live concert titled One World: Together At Home curated by Lady Gaga, told that basic facilities like healthcare, clean water and sanitation aren't available in refugee camps. The actress, who is the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador mentioned in a video that she has witnessed the unliveable conditions in the camps where social distancing isn't possible. She further extended support to those fighting against COVID-19.

"So there is no question about the impact COVID-19 has had across the globe. It's been unimaginable for all of us. But for the 70 million people within camps and shelters around the world, including facilities here in the US, that impact is particularly devastating. I have witnessed first hand some of the overcrowded and unlivable conditions in refugee camps. Social distancing there is simply not an option. In order to curb the spread of COVID-19, for these specific communities, the means are basic - healthcare, clean water, sanitation. Global Citizen and the WHO are two organizations that I am personally very proud to stand in the fight against COVID-19. In the fight to end this crisis, we truly cannot afford to leave anyone behind," Priyanka told.
