'Mere ghar mein Laxmi aayi hai,' gushes Ranveer Singh for Deepika Padukone in his acceptance speech on winning Filmfare Awards 2020 as Best Actor for 'Gully Boy'

Ranveer Singh is currently riding high on cloud nine and why not? The actor, at the recently held 65th Amazon Filmfare Awards 2020 in Guwahati, Assam, bagged the top honour for Gully Boy, which emerged to be the film to receive maximum awards. Elated, obviously, Ranveer couldn't hold back his excitement when he was on stage to receive the Best Actor award from none other than Madhuri Dixit. The 34-year-old star, while collecting the trophy, not just thanked his co-star Alia Bhatt, director Zoya Akhtar and the team behind Gully Boy, but also went on to express his gratitude for his wife Deepika Padukone. For his actress wife who couldn't make it to Assam, Ranveer said in his speech that after getting married, he has been on a winning spree. Calling Deepika 'Laxmi', the doting husband told that he loves her and wished she could be there to witness the moment.

"Last year I got married, received best actor and received it again. That means Laxmi has really come to my house. I love you baby, I miss you, I wish you were here. I'm coming straight to you. Catching a plane and coming straight to you, by the way," Ranveer told.
