Veteran film producer Vinay Sinha who produced films like cult comedies Andaz Apna Apna and Rafoo Chakkar passed away in Mumbai on January 24, 2020. The cause of death of the senior producer has not been confirmed yet. Condolences poured in from the Bollywood film industry on Twitter for the senior filmmaker. He had also produced Chor Police and a few TV shows.
Trade analyst Komal Nahta shared the sad news of his demise on Twitter and wote, “Vinay Sinha, producer of films like ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, passed away a few minutes back. May his soul Rest In peace.”Andaz Apna Apna starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor in the lead.

The film released in 1994 and was a flop at the box office but has earned a cult status since then. The film is regarded as one of the best comedies of Bollywood and is the only film where Aamir and Salman share screen space. The film was directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and also starred Paresh Rawal, Shakti Kapoor, Viju Khote, Shehzad Khan, Mehboob, Jagdeep, Javed Khan, Tiku Talsania, Harish Patel and Deven Verma.
In November last year, the comedy-drama clocked 25 years and Vinay Sinha’s daughter Priti Sinha had thanked him for making the iconic film.
