Sushmita Sen, the diva, the first Miss Universe from India, the role model for several women out there is finally going to make a comeback in front of the arc lights. The actress who has ensured that her fans get to be up-to-date with her life will be making a comeback to Bollywood after ten long years. The actress proved her mettle in films like Samay where she played a hard-hitting cop, a surrogate mother in Filhaal and everyone’s favourite Chemistry teacher in Main Hoon Na.
After her hiatus, we all wondered whether she will ever make a foray back into films but looks like our prayers have been answered as Sushmita shared an emotional post today on Instagram and announced that she will soon be donning the greasepaint and facing the camera once again in her second innings in Bollywood.
As a 90s kid, we will always remember her sensual and iconic numbers like Chunari Chunari from Biwi No 1, Dilba Dilbar from Sirf Tum, Mehboob Mere from Fiza and many more.
Her Chemistry teacher avatar in Main Hoon Na made all of us take a newfound interest in the horrid subject. Not only Shah Rukh Khan but everyone had googly eyes for Sushmita in her flowing sarees and drop-dead-gorgeous looks.
Sushmita’s hiatus was because she wanted to bring up her daughters Renee and Alisah. Now that they are much older, we can’t wait for Sushmita to announce her project.
