Taapsee Pannu has been on a roll lately, the actress has become one of the busiest actresses in the industry today. She gave three back-to-back hits this year in the form of Badla, Mission Mangal and Saand Ki Aankh. She also had Game Over as this year’s release. She is riding high on success and has become a go-to actress for many filmmakers. Now, the latest reports are that Taapsee has been roped in to play a double role in a project bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Bhansali’s next production is titled Sia Jia and will see Taapsee in a double-role for the first time. The film is co-produced by Bhansali and Shabina Khan. The producer duo is still looking for a director to helm the project but the team has finalized the script for Sia Jia. The film will hit the floors next year. An official confirmation is yet to be made which is awaited soon.
It was reported earlier that Taapsee was being considered to play the role of Amrita Pritam in the biopic on the life of lyricist/poet Sahir Ludhianvi but the reports remained speculative only.
On the work front, Taapsee will be next seen in Anubhav Sinha’s Thappad that also stars Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Manav Kaul, Tanvi Azmi and Ram Kapoor. The film is slated to release on March 8, 2020. She will also be seen as an athlete in the film Rashmi Rocket.
