The popular quiz series Kaun Banega Crorepati, over the last nineteen years, has played an important role in the evolution of television and its viewership. The series, hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan for the maximum time, has been appreciated across the globe with a fan following of all generations in an Indian household. Kaun Banega Crorepati, better known as KBC, throughout the years has played a functional role in not just spreading knowledge but setting new examples of content-driven and inspirational shows aired on the television.
And living up to its high stature and empowering quotient, the makers of Tamil Kaun Banega Crorepati have taken the bar higher by roping in the popular Sri Lankan-Indian actress Radikaa Sarathkumar as the first female host in the history of the franchise. What's more, the show titled Kodeeswari will feature only female contestants throughout, which is indeed a first of its kind in the KBC universe. Speaking of Kaun Banega Crorepati, the show is the adaptation of the popular British show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? The show aired in India for the first time in 2000 and was hosted by Amitji for the first few years and then by Shah Rukh Khan for a season. Later, the former star resumed as the host. Apart from Hindi and Tamil, Kaun Banega Crorepati has editions in Marathi, Kannada, Bengali, Bhojpuri, Telugu, and Malayalam. Amitji, on Radikaa hosting the show, sent out his best wishes through social media platforms.
Talking about Radikaa, the 56-year-old actress has shared the screen space with Amitji in films like Laal Badshah and Aaj Ka Arjun. Not just in acting, Radikaa has vast expertise in producing films and has worked in projects ranging between five different languages.
