Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ’83 is one of the most-anticipated films of the year. The actor has been giving us sneak peek into the preparations of the film ever since he took off for England to train. While Ranveer’s first look from the film was released on his birthday, today the director of the film, Kabir Khan shared a picture on Instagram wherein we can see Ranveer, Tahir Bhasin, Mini Mathur posing with former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. Gavaskar dropped by on the sets of the film in England.
Kabir shared the picture with the caption, “The little master came to see us play cricket in England @ranveersingh @tahirrajbhasin@minimathur @83thefilm #Thisis83#behindthescenes.”
’83 is based on India’s first World Cup win in 1983. Gavaskar was one of the playing XI and a member of the winning team that was led by Kapil Dev. Ranveer is playing the role of Kapil in the film whereas Deepika Padukone is playing his wife Romi Dev in 83. She is also a co-producer of the sports film.
Besides Ranveer, Deepika and Tahir the film also stars Saqib Saleem, R Badree, Harrdy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Pankaj Tripathi, Ammy Virk and Saahil Khattar as members of the World Cup squad. The film is scheduled to release on April 10, 2020.
