Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: Leonardo Dicaprio’s and Brad Pitt’s film to clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Mission Mangal’ and John Abraham’s ‘Batla House’ at the box office

Brad Pitt and Leonardo Dicaprio will be sharing screen space for the first time in Quentin Tarantino’s ninth directorial venture Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. The film was previously scheduled to release in India on August 9. However, since the release of Prabhas’ and Shraddha Kapoor’s Saaho has been postponed to August 30, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood will now hit the theatres on August 15.

Due to the shift in its release date Once Upon A Time in Hollywood will clash with not one but two big Indian films, i.e Akshay Kumar’s Mission Mangal and John Abraham’s Batla House at the box office both of which are Independence Day releases. Mission Mangal also stars Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Nithya Menen. It is based on the Mars Orbiter Mission of ISRO whereas John’s Batla House is based on a real encounter against Indian Mujahideen terrorists.

Once Upon A Time in Hollywood is based in the 1960s and sees Leonardo as a film star struggling to keep his popularity intact while Brad plays his trusted stunt double. The film also stars Margot Robbie, Al Pacino and Luke Perry. The film has the infamous Manson Family Murders as a subplot as well. It remains to be seen how this three-way clash fares out at the box office. May the best film win!
