Actor-director Deepak Tijori who has been away from the limelight will soon be making a comeback. He has been signed to direct an adventure thriller Tipsy by producers Raju Chadha and Rahul Mittra. The film stars Laxmi Raai, Nazia Hussain, Kainaat Arora, Alankrita Sahai and Shama Sikander.
The film is supposed to be shot on exotic locations in and around London. The film will go on the floors in September. Producer Rahul Mittra made the announcement today about the film Tipsy on social media and shared quite a few pictures with his star cast and director.
Tijori had previously spoken about his directorial and had said that it is a chick flick and a female version of Hollywood film Hangover. However, he had said, “It’s not a copy or remake of Hangover but just the concept where a girl goes on a holiday for her hen’s night with her four girlfriends. The script is nearly done but I’m yet to do the casting. You see, to get five girls together is a task and when you’re making a smaller film, it’s obviously tough to get people on board.”
Tijori also dismissed the fact that the film will be reminiscent of Veere Di Wedding. Talking about the USP of the film, Tijori had earlier said, “Our film will have a lot of fun, adventure and thrill. We’ll have to have lots of workshops and getting people in that category together is difficult. So, we’re looking at names that are relatively known and definitely brilliant actors.” Tipsy is being co-produced by Mohaan Nadaar.
