Rishi Kapoor to team up with Juhi Chawla for a film post his return to India?

It was September last year that Rishi Kapoor left for New York for treatment of an undisclosed disease. Recently, it was revealed that Rishi was indeed suffering from Cancer and much to everyone's happiness, he was declared cancer-free. In fact, the veteran actor recently confirmed that he is trying to be back in India by August-end. Now amid all that, we hear that Rishi will reunite with his 90s co-star Juhi Chawla after 10 years for an untitled film, once he is back to his home country.

As per a leading daily, Rishi and Juhi will begin shooting for the project, which was left incomplete in 2018. The family comedy, which will be helmed by debutant director Hitesh Bhatia, was announced in September 2018 and Juhi had even posted a picture with her co-star Rishi and the team. "The film, written by Bhatia and Supratik Sen (screenwriter for films like Kaminey and Kai Po Che), went into production last September. But Rishi’s health started deteriorating at that time and the sale of RK Studios was also announced," the daily quoted a source as saying.

The source further added, "A bigger catastrophe befell the Kapoors when Krishna Raj Kapoor expired hours after Rishi left for New York for his treatment. Now with Rishi’s return by the end of August this year, the makers are readying the film to go on floors." Well, we certainly cannot wait for these two co-stars to carve magic on the big screen.

For the unversed, Rishi and Juhi were last seen together as husband and wife in Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance (2009) and have previously shared screen space in several films including, Bol Radha Bol (1992), Rishta To Ho Aisa (1992), Ghar Ki Izzat (1994), Saajan Ka Ghar (1994), Eena Meena Deega (1994), Daraar (1996), and others.
