After 17 long years, R Madhavan and Simran reunite to play husband and wife in the film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’

R Madhavan and Simran are reuniting onscreen for the film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect after 17 long years. The two worked together in K Balachander’s Tamil film Paarthale Paravasam (2001) and then in Mani Ratnam’s Kannathil Muthamittal (2002). Madhavan is also making his directorial debut with the film. The film is a biopic on scientist Nambi Narayanan, a Padma Bhushan awardee who was falsely charged with espionage. However, the charges were dismissed by the CBI in 1996 and he was acquitted of all charges by the Supreme Court in 1998.

The film’s shooting is almost over and the film is all set to release soon. However, with the inclusion of Simran in the leading role it has piqued audience’s interest further. Madhavan announced Simran’s inclusion with a collage of photos on his Instagram and captioned it as, “15 years later. Thiru and Indira turn into Mr. & Mrs. Nambi Narayanan. #rocketryfilm@actormaddy #actormaddy#rocketrythenambieffect #15yearslater@SimranbaggaOffc@vijaymoolantalkies@simranrishibagga”. Thiru and Indira were the names of the characters they both played in Kannathil Muthamittal.

He also announced Simran's schedule wrap with a tweet. Simran also tweeted about reuniting once again with Madhavan.

We hope Madhavan shares the release date of the film soon too.
