Alia Bhatt’s new film Kalank has not performed as per expectations at the box office but she is not ready to “analyse” what went wrong, and instead, said that the audience is the best judge of the film. Speaking at the Critics Choice Film Awards on April 21, Alia was asked about criticism that Kalank is witnessing at the box office, and her response was apt enough.
"I'm not going to analyse my film because that is something which is not required. Audience verdict is the biggest proof for a film and when the audience does not accept a film, then it should not do well. That's just the way it is. We should accept it, come back, and try and make sure they're not disappointed next time,” Alia told reporters.

Kalank, directed by Abhishek Varman, co-stars Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit. The film has earned Rs 66.03 crore since its release on April 17.
Meanwhile, Alia, at the award ceremony, was also asked about Kangana Ranaut’s sister Rangoli Chandel’s comments about the Bhatt family but the 26-year-old actress refused to comment much about the issue.
"If I am mature, then my family is 10 times more mature and stronger than I am. I don't want to get into this. I just want to be happy, positive, work hard and be a better version of myself every day. I should not pay attention to what people are saying. Everyone has a right to say and what they want to say. I'll remain quiet and this is my stand," Alia added.

Rangoli, recently, lashed out at Alia and her mother Soni Razdan, calling them "non Indians who are living off this land, using and abusing its people and its resources, lying about intolerance and spreading hatred. Time to think about their agenda and not to get carried away with their provocations," Rangoli had tweeted, referring to an article about the mother-daughter duo's British passports.
Alia Bhatt will appear next in her Christmas release Brahmastra, co-starring Ranbir Kapoor.
