Shahid Kapoor has been garnering a whole lot of praise for his role in Kabir Singh after the teaser of the film released earlier this week but the best compliment for the actor came from Prabhas, a leading daily reports. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim was in Hyderabad while Prabhas was shooting for Saaho and the teaser of Kabir Singh released at that time.
Prabhas watched the teaser, Aalim said, and loved it. “I was in Hyderabad shooting for Saaho with Prabhas, and the teaser of Kabir Singh had just launched online. Prabhas checked it out and loved it. Even his team members, who have enjoyed Arjun Reddy, felt that Shahid looked brilliant,” Aalim told the daily.
Aalim, thus, decided to make Shahid’s day and called him and made the actor speak to Prabhas. Shahid and Prabhas spoke for around seven minutes and the south actor congratulated him for his brilliant performance in Kabir Singh.
“Seeing Prabhas’ reaction to the promo, I called up Shahid and handed him the phone. The former praised him and said that Kabir Singh looks even better than the original. Both of them chatted for a good seven-odd minutes,” Aalim added.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh is a remake of the Telugu film Arjun Reddy. Kabir Singh co-stars Kiara Advani and is scheduled to release on June 21.
