Akshay Kumar shoots for a ‘high-energy’ number with brother-in-law Karan Kapadia for his debut film Blank

Akshay Kumar shot for a ‘high-energy’ number with his brother-in-law Karan Kapadia for his debut film Blank at a studio in Mumbai on Monday, a leading daily reports. Akshay is proud of Karan and told the daily that featuring in the special song in Blank is his way of wishing good luck to the newcomer.

“Karan has chosen an unconventional route for his debut and I am extremely proud of him. Doing this song is my way of wishing him all the best,” Akshay told the daily. The report stated that the song has been composed by Arko while B Praak has provided vocals.

The trailer of Blank released last week and garnered immense appraise as the film casts Karan as an alleged suicide bomber. “The boy has genuine acting skills. I first saw the spark in a short film that he did (Crescendo, 2014) which even went to the Cannes Film Festival. With Blank, Karan has gone several notches up in terms of acting and performance,” Akshay added.

After pursuing his course in acting from the Jeff Goldberg Studio, Karan trained in horse-riding and also did a course in martial arts in Bangkok.

Karan Kapadia is the nephew of Dimple Kapadia and son of Simple Kapadia. Akshay is married to Dimple Kapadia’s daughter Twinkle Khanna.

Blank, meanwhile, has been directed by Behzad Khambata and co-stars Sunny Deol. The film will release on May 3.
