The trailer of Karan Johar’s ambitious drama Kalank will release on April 3 and yes, yes, we know that you can’t wait for it. Directed by Abhishek Varman, Kalank stars Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Dutt in the principle roles.
On Twitter, Karan announced the release date of the trailer and wrote, “Another step into the spellbinding world of #Kalank, coming soon! #KalankTrailerIn2Days.”

The first posters of Kalank with short descriptions of the lead characters were released in March along with the teaser that impressed everybody. Alia is Roop and is smitten by Varun’s Zafar. However, a particular scene in the teaser showed Roop on the shaadi mandap with Aditya’s Dev Chaudhary. Sonakshi has been cast as Satya and scenes in the teaser depict her love for Dev.
Madhuri Dixit plays Bahaar Begum while Sanjay Dutt is Balraj Chaudhary. So far, three songs from Kalank have been released, titled Ghar More Pardesiya, First Class and the title track of the film.
Kalank has been co-produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions and will release on April 17.
