He never treated me in any bad way: Tamannaah Bhatia on working with Sajid Khan

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who has worked with Sajid Khan on the films Himmatwala and Humshakals, said that the filmmaker hasn’t ever treated her “in any bad way” and she always felt comfortable while working with him. Sajid Khan was accused of sexual harassment by several women in the wake of the MeToo movement in India last year.

While Vidya Balan, who worked on Heyy Babyy with Sajid Khan, clearly mentioned in an interview that she doesn’t intend to work with him again, Tamannaah told a leading website that everyone has a “different experience” and is entitled to their personal opinion.

“He never treated me in any bad way and I was completely comfortable working with him. Everyone has a different experience and everybody is entitled to their own opinion and experience. If Vidya has had a bad experience, it’s normal for her to react like that,” Tamannaah told the website.

Of working with Sajid, Tamannaah also said, “For me, it has always been about the script and what’s the kind of film that I am working on. When I worked with Sajid, unfortunately, none of our films did well."

Sajid Khan was accused of behaving inappropriately with actress Saloni Jain while she was working with him. Apart from Saloni, a senior journalist had also revealed that the filmmaker had “exposed himself and forcefully kissed her” during an interview.

Soon after allegations surfaced, Sajid announced his decision of “stepping down” as the director of the upcoming film Housefull 4. Following his resignation, production house Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment announced that the film will be directed by Farhad Samji, who previously directed Housefull 3.

The MeToo movement gained momentum in India after Tanushree Dutta recounted an old accusation she made against Nana Patekar for alleged sexual harassment on the sets of their 2008 film Horn OK Pleasssss.

Tamannaah Bhatia has mostly appeared in south films, including the Baahubali series.
