After delivering a fabulous hit in Padmaavat that starred Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the lead, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not taken up direction for any film yet. However, he is looking out to expand his production house and is backing several projects and directors under his banner. He is paying attention to producing content for the large younger generation of the country.
The latest buzz is that Bhansali is almost ready with his next production venture titled Malaal which will launch Javed Jaffrey’s son Meezan Jaffrey and the filmmaker’s niece Sharmin Segal. According to a trade website, the film is in its production stage and will release in theatres on June 28. It is also reported that the film’s first look will be revealed next week.

Malaal is directed by Mangesh Hadawale. Talking about his big debut Meezan was quoted by a portal, “Being an actor was not a childhood dream but it was Sanjay Sir who not only gave me this dream but also believed in me and made it real by launching me.” Let’s see what Bhansali brings to the table with these promising new talents.
