Summer is here and along with the anticipation of mangoes, we will also get to see a whole load of superhero films. Avengers: Endgame hits the screens in April and right now Brie Larson is keeping everyone entertained in Captain Marvel. However, this piece of news will be of utmost interest to Indian fans because Deepika Padukone hinted an interest to be a part of the Avengers.
Yesterday, during the unveiling of her wax statue at Madame Tussaud’s London, Deepika expressed that she would love to take up the superhero role and it would be very “interesting”. She said, “Yeah, of course. Why not? I mean I’d say Indian origin. So whether it’s Marvel or whether it’s Avengers, or you know, any of these iconic characters that we’ve seen in the cinema, I think it would be very interesting. And I think the world is ready for it to see one of these superheroes, one that originates from India. I believe it will happen soon. I know it will.”

Now, this is indeed interesting because the buzz was that Deepika was looking to star in a superhero film on the lines of Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. However, no official confirmation came out on the same. We wonder whether something is afoot and maybe she might be ready to don the cape and the cowl. She will definitely look great kicking ass in a superhero film.
Meanwhile, Deepika is on a personal high as after unveiling her wax statue she also featured on the cover of a Hollywood magazine along with Avengers star Scarlett Johansson and Korean actor Doona Bae. The actresses were three of 14 international stars who featured in the April issue of the international magazine.
