CONFIRMED: Mouni Roy to feature opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui in Bole Chudiyan; details inside

After playing serious characters in Thackeray and Manto and pairing with Sanya Malhotra in Photograph, Nawazuddin Siddiqui is all set to feature next in a romantic film titled Bole Chudiyan. The film marks the directorial debut of Nawazuddin’s brother, Shamas Nawab Siddiqui. Until now, several names like Sonakshi Sinha and Shraddha Kapoor were being considered to play the female lead opposite the actor, but we now hear that Mouni Roy has been finalised for the same.

Confirming the news, Mouni told a leading daily, "I can’t believe my fortune that I’m getting to work with Nawazuddin Siddiqui. I’m anxious about sharing the frame with him. He’s immensely talented and what I feel most assured about is that this will be a fantastic learning experience." Nawazuddin too was all praises for her and stated, "Mouni has untapped talent. She believes in experimenting and so is perfect for the role."

Interestingly, Mouni also divulged some details about her character in Bole Chudiyan and said, "While I can’t reveal much, I can just say that she’s a confident girl who thinks on her feet; she can ride a tractor and dance like a dream... The most endearing quality of my character is that she’s real and she speaks her heart. This is the first time I’ll probably play a full-on Hindi film heroine and I can’t wait to start."

On the work front, Mouni made her Bollywood debut in Akshay Kumar's GOLD and will be seen in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, Made in China with Rajkummar Rao and John Abraham starrer Robert Akbar Walter.
