Today, the much-awaited trailer of John Abraham and Mouni Roy starrer film Romeo Akbar Walter was released. The film is set against the backdrop of the India-Pakistan War of 1971 and also stars Jackie Shroff. Sikander Kher and Kavita Krishnamoorti in pivotal roles. During the media interaction that followed after the trailer launch, John was asked a number of questions pertaining to the dastardly Pulwama terror attacks and the Balakot air strike that followed. He was also asked about whether his film would be releasing in Pakistan or not.

During the media interaction, John who plays the role of a RAW spy in the film was asked about the Pulwama terror attack where 40 CRPF jawans were killed by a suicide bomber of the Pakistani terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed. John said, “I think there has to be war against terror not against a country or religion or between religions. I am very clear in my outlook and I am not one of those actors who is going to sit on the fence and say nahi yaar, yeh audiene ko acha lagega, yeh bura lagega, I am saying things as they are and there has to war on terror.”

He further added, “You have to nip it in the bud, it has to be over and done with but that doesn’t mean you have to fight another country or that doesn’t mean you have to stereotype people. The problem that is happening across the world is that we are getting polarized, stereotyping people and that is probably the most dangerous sign but that’s the way the world is functioning today and we have to live in this world.”
