After making an impressive debut in July 2018 with Dhadak, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to play the role of IAF pilot Gunjan Saxena in her biopic. The actress has been shooting for the film in Lucknow for a while now. After Angad Bedi as her brother and young actor Riva Arora as her younger version, now, Pankaj Tripathi has joined the star cast and will be seen playing the role of Janhvi's father. This will be their first film together.
When asked about his entry in the biopic and about his co-star Janhvi, Pankaj said his on-screen daughter Janhvi Kapoor is a sincere actress. Pankaj has also started shooting for Dharma Productions' film on the real-life hero Gunjan Saxena.
"I liked the character very much. I am having a lot of fun while shooting for the film. Janhvi is a very sincere actress. She respects me a lot and I too respect her for the sincerity and commitment towards her work," Pankaj said in a statement.
The biopic is being helmed by Sharan Sharma. "Sharan is a very talented director and is well versed with his craft. It's an opportunity to work under Dharma Productions," added the Stree actor.
