Kesari Song Sanu Kehndi: Akshay Kumar’s camaraderie with his 21 Sikh warriors is full of masti

The first song from Akshay Kumar’s new film Kesari, titled Sanu Kehndi, has been released and it highlights the camaraderie between the actor’s character and his 21 Sikh warriors. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is a war drama based on the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against the Afghans in 1897. In Sanu Kehndi, Akshay, handsome in a black kurta and dhoti with his heavy beard and turban, dances in joy with his warriors at a fort. The hook-step is great as is the Punjabi tone that will certainly make you listen to the song on loop. Sanu Kehndi has been composed as well as programmed by Tanishk Bagchi while Kumaar has written the lyrics. Romy and Brijesh Sandilya have provided vocals to the song.

“It’s a boy-gang kind of a song. It was a night shoot, which is always a bit difficult, but with Akshay sir on the sets, it was great fun. He likes to joke around and keep the atmosphere light,” Anurag said, adding that Sanu Kehndi has been choreographed by Ganesh Acharya, who has a “knack for coming up with dance steps that look natural.” Produced by Cape of Good Hope Films and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, Kesari is scheduled to release on March 21.
