We’ll remember the good times: Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Farah Khan and other celebs share memories on Sridevi’s first death anniversary

Sonam Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Farah Khan, Shabana Azmi and several other celebrities from the Hindi film industry fondly remembered Sridevi on her first death anniversary today. Sridevi, Bollywood's first female superstar, died on February 24, 2018, in Dubai. She was 54. While Sonam shared memories of her aunt with a leading entertainment website, Farah and Maheep Kapoor shared throwback pictures with Sridevi on social media and wrote heartfelt captions.

Speaking of Sridevi, Sonam told the website, “I think my favourite film of hers is Mr. India. And my childhood memory of hers, is her living with me in my house for many, many years. And her letting me watch Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke on her television in her bedroom. I'll never forget that.”

Sridevi began her career at the age of four with her appearance in the devotional film Thunaivan. She worked across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi movies. Sridevi is the star of films Sadma, Chandni, Lamhe, Nagina, Mr India, ChaalBaaz and English Vinglish.

Ahead of her first death anniversary, Sridevi's family, including her husband Boney Kapoor, and daughters Janhvi and Khushi, and brother-in-law Anil Kapoor, held a puja for her in Chennai on February 14.
