Jacqueline Fernandez who last appeared opposite Salman Khan in Race 3 has signed her next film project which is a highly lucrative one. A trade portal reported that Jacqueline will be seen playing the main lead in the sequel to the sleeper hit Chashme Baddoor that released in 2013. The film is produced by Viacom 18. The prequel was also produced by the same production house. The 2013 film was directed by David Dhawan but this time around Farhad Samji has been roped in to direct the film.
The script of the film is in place and the casting for the male leads for the film is underway. Chashme Baddoor 2 is expected to go on floors in the coming months. Farhad had written dialogues for the first part along with his brother Sajid Samji will soon start working on the film.

Jacqueline was supposed to start Kirik Party but since the film has been pushed ahead indefinitely she will soon be working on Chashme Baddoor 2. Jacqueline will also be seen opposite Sushant Singh Rajput in Drive that is slated to release in June.
Chashme Baddoor that released in 2013 was the remake of Farooq Sheikh and Dipti Naval’s classic film Chashme Buddoor that released in 1981. The 2013 film had Ali Zafar, Siddharth, Divyendu Sharma and Taapsee Pannu in the lead. It also starred Rishi Kapoor and Lillette Dubey in pivotal roles.
