Not Jacqueline Fernandez but Parineeti Chopra to star in the Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train?

Parineeti Chopra is a great and powerful actress who has proved her acting prowess in films Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, Ishaqzaade, Shuddh Desi Romance and Hasee Toh Phasee. However, the actress was having a little downtime recently but now she is back with a bang. She is on a signing spree with several interesting projects in her kitty. Parineeti will have three releases this year, with all of them from completely different genres and now she has been roped in for a highly coveted project, the Hindi remake of The Girl On The Train.

Parineeti has bagged the lead role in The Girl On The Train remake which was originally portrayed by Hollywood actress Emily Blunt. Previously, Jacqueline Fernandez was supposed to do the role but looks like now Parineeti is the final choice.

The project is produced by Reliance Entertainment and will be directed by Ribhu Dasgupta who had earlier directed Amitabh Bachchan starrer Te3n and is currently wrapping up the web series BARD OF BLOOD for Netflix. An official announcement is soon awaited and the shooting for the film will start soon in the coming months.

The Girl On The Train is adapted from Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel of the same name. The 2016 Holywood film was directed by Tate Taylor and apart from Emily also starred Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney, Édgar Ramírez and Lisa Kudrow. The story revolves around a divorce alcoholic woman who becomes the prime suspect in a missing person’s investigation.
