Salman Khan launched the trailer of his upcoming production venture Notebook starring newcomers Pranutan Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal today. The trailer launch was a gala affair indeed as well as an entertaining one where Salman went on to reveal various details about everyone related to the film right from the lead star cast to Pranutan’s father and Salman’s old co-star actor Mohnish Bahl.
Mohnish and Salman have starred in several landmark films like Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Hum Saath Saath Hain and others. The two have played brothers on screen as well. During the media interaction, Salman paid his respects to Rajshri’s head-honcho and Sooraj Barjatya’s father late Rajkumar Barjatya who passed away yesterday and recollected how he got his first break in Maine Pyar Kiya and he was instrumental in getting Mohnish his big break as well.

Apparently, Mohnish had already started working in films but had not got a great lineup. He was friends with Salman whose gym membership fees he used to pay. So when Salman got his lead role in Rajshri’s Maine Pyar Kiya he recommended Mohnish’s name and the latter’s mother legendary actress Nutan met Rajkumar Barjatya to convince him on behalf of the superstar to give him the antagonist's role. During the interaction, Mohnish who also stars in Notebook jokingly said that he was the first person Salman launched in a film.

Notebook is directed by Nitin Kakkar and along with Salman is co-produced by Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios.
