It was not just me; whoever read Queen's script said it was the lamest script ever: Kangana

Kangana Ranaut is a very talented actor and she proved her mettle from her debut film itself, but it was Vikas Bahl’s Queen that catapulted her to the big league. The film had a great run at the box office and also received critical acclaim for everyone involved. Kangana even won the National Award for Best Actress for her performance. However, Kangana revealed on a show that when she heard the script of Queen she felt it was the lamest script ever.

Kangana appeared on a show and revealed that nobody had any expectations form the film. She said, “I never thought, and it was not just me, whoever read Queen's script said it was the most lame script ever.” She further added, “Queen was a party for everyone. The director was a very big producer. I will quote his words. He said, 'Kangana, let's not take stress about it, this is something fun.' He was such a big producer, he said that production was his main identity and this was just for fun."

Kangana found her stardom and popularity with Queen. During the show, Kangana revealed that the process of making Queen was “very unusual” as it was something completely different to what she was subjected to before. Talking about the film she said, “It turned out to be very good, but it could have gone the other way as well. But the director was prepared for it. It was a small budget film and nothing was at stake from his end, and even I had nothing to lose as I had no career left, so everybody was chilling.”

Queen also starred Rajkummar Rao and Nayani Dixit. Queen is being remade in four Southern languages now. The actor is riding high on the success of her last film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi that she has also co-directed. She will be next seen in Mental Hai Kya and Panga.
