Rapper Badshah is all set to make his acting debut in a film which has Sonakshi Sinha, Varun Sharma and Annu Kapoor, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Nadira Babbar in the lead. The film is directed by debutant director Shilpi Dasgupta’s yet untitled project, which is a slice-of-life entertainer. Apparently, the role is perfect for the singer-composer. However, Badshah was reported as saying that he is extremely nervous about venturing into new territory. Talking about his role, Badshah said, “I am extremely nervous. However, now that I have taken the leap, I will give it my best. Bhushanji and Mrigh both kept convincing me on how perfect the role is for me. It's a film which is so unique and different. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Mrighdeep Lamba. Bhushan reiterated the fact that Badshah is perfect for the role and told a leading daily, “When I read the script and the character sketch, the only person who came to my mind was Badshah. Just like his screen persona, he is a jovial and funny Punjabi guy. It took a while to persuade him to take up the role, but I am glad he finally came on board.”
