Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga is the first mainstream film with an A-list Bollywood actor in the lead playing the role of a homosexual character and for this Sonam has been receiving accolades. It is also for the first time that Sonam is sharing screen space with her father Anil Kapoor in the film. The film is directed by Shelly Chopra Dhar and also stars Rajkummar Rao, Juhi Chawla, Regina Cassandra and Abhishek Duhan.
