I still remember the very first moment of bringing Taimur home from the hospital: Kareena

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s and Saif Ali Khan’s son Taimur’s birth in December 2016 had sent the entire nation into a frenzy. Some people were miffed about the name of the kid while some were elated to see their favourite stars become parents and bring home a little munchkin of their own. Ever since then, Taimur has found a place in the nation’s hearts, the little kid is often snapped by the paparazzi and his antics and histrionics are eagerly awaited by everyone. His videos and pictures go viral on social media every other day.

Kareena on her radio show What Women Want that airs on Ishq 104.8 FM also had some experiences to share about the joy and dilemmas of embracing motherhood. The episode was on ‘Motherhood’ and Kareena had got her sister-in-law Soha Ali Khan as her guest. On the show, she recalled the moment when she first brought Taimur home from the hospital. She said, “I still remember the very first moment of bringing Taimur home when we were driving up from Breach Candy hospital. Jab hum ghar ki taraf aa rahe the Taimur ko gaadi mein lekar, it was actually his first car ride.”

Kareena said that she felt extremely “overwhelmed and paranoid” throughout the car journey from the hospital to her home. She explained her predicament, “Kyunki woh itna chhota tha, he was so tiny, that every time there was a slight bump on the road, I was literally skipping a heartbeat. Of course, that's going to be a lifelong thing. But I think I can never forget the first journey of actually the travel from the hospital to my home.” Kareena perfectly echoed every Mom’s feelings in a nutshell about their newborn baby.
