In her recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Priyanka Chopra has dropped a bomb about her future Hollywood project. She revealed that she is developing and producing a project on Ma Anand Sheela where she will be essaying the titular role. Since the time the controversial Wild Wild Country came out last year, it left people dumbstruck. The show was based on Osho, who was an Indian spiritual guru, philosopher and the leader of the Rajneesh movement.
The late spiritual leader had made a cult around the globe along with Ma Anand Sheela who was his right hand. It was also speculated that Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt will be playing the leads in the Hindi remake of the show. However, no confirmation came out. But this time around, Priyanka has jumped on the opportunity.

During the show, she said, “I am developing a feature with Barry Levinson. He is an iconic American director. We are developing it (from the perspective of) Sheela who is this guru who originated from India. She was Osho’s right-hand woman and she was devious. She created a whole cult in America. He was called Osho. I don’t know if you’ve heard of him. I am developing that next for me to star in and produce."
Now isn’t that an interesting bit of news? We’re sure Priyanka will do a swell job of portraying Ma Anand Sheela. She is also looking forward to the release of her Hollywood film Isn’t It Romantic? that also stars Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson. The film is set to release during the Valentine’s Day weekend.
