My son Junaid could do my biopic, says Aamir Khan

Aamir Khan is of the opinion that his son Junaid will be the ideal one to play him in his biopic if it is ever made, the actor said while addressing the press at his Mumbai residence, a leading website reports. Junaid is Aamir’s son with his former wife Reena Dutta. Asked about who could play him in his biopic, Aamir told the website, “I think Junaid can do it. He might be a good choice.”

Moreover, Aamir also said that he has been waiting for a good script for Junaid’s debut in Bollywood. During his conversation, Aamir added that Junaid has studied acting and is doing theatre for over a year. “He has studied acting and has been doing theatre for more than a year. But I believe in the power of screen test. So Junaid would have to go through the grind and prove himself,” Aamir said.

Aamir also said that his advice for Junaid is simple – that he must opt for roles and thereby, “live the character” on screen. “As a father, my only advice to him is that he should play leads but only those that are characters. This is a rule I follow and really believe in. More than being a hero, you need to live a character on screen. That’s the joy of acting,” Aamir said.

With Reena Dutta, Aamir also has a daughter, Ira. After separating from Reena in 2002, Aamir married Kiran Rao in 2005. Aamir’s and Kiran’s son Azad was born in 2011 through surrogacy.

Workwise, Aamir Khan was last seen in 2018’s Thugs of Hindostan.
