Kangana Ranaut slams Hansal Mehta, asks how Manikarnika producer Kamal Jain’s ill-health is her fault

Kangana Ranaut, who will next be seen in Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, recently slammed filmmaker Hansal Mehta for accusing her for the ill-health of Kamal Jain, who is producing the actress' forthcoming epic-drama. For the unversed, Kamal was recently admitted to a hospital in Mumbai and is now on a route to recovery.

Hansal, who reportedly had issues with Kangana during the making of their film Simran, tweeted on Sunday, "Sad news. I completely empathise with him and the possible cause of his condition. Prayers." After being met with harsh criticism, he deleted that particular tweet and clarified his stance by tweeting, "Did not intend my tweet to invite so much negativity. Maybe I was upset. Maybe I should have kept quiet." He further shared his wishes for Kamal's speedy recovery.

When Kangana was asked about the entire incident, she remained unperturbed and told a leaing daily, "People who make such comments are unhappy themselves. While I was shooting Manikarnika, I got multiple stitches on my forehead and broke my leg. No one blamed my director [Krish] for it. So, how is my producer’s ill-health caused by me? In B-grade films, when there was a death in the family, the bahu was called manhoos. I feel for that bahu."

Furthermore, she questioned Hansal's intention and added, "I don’t know what Hansal is trying to imply. It’s an incoherent narrative where one day, I am a charm to work with, and a few months later, I am not."

Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will release on January 25.
